Over the past few years, Kate Middleton has been a regular at Wimbledon, one of the UK’s most iconic sporting events.
But life is a little different for Kate these days, for obvious reasons.
As you may know, Kate is battling cancer. The Princess of Wales has chosen to stay out of the public eye while undergoing treatment.
Kate shocked many royal experts when she attended the Trooping the Color parade earlier this month.
The Princess of Wales looked happy and healthy as she stood on the balcony with her family.
But insiders warn this could be Kate’s last public appearance this year.
Well, Kate Middleton isn’t experiencing any of that—while her favorite activities are anxiously awaiting her return!
Kate Middleton attends Wimbledon with daughter Princess Charlotte amid cancer battle
We call this a great day!
Kate Middleton makes a strong return to Wimbledon!
The Princess of Wales, 42, attended this year’s Wimbledon tennis championships on Sunday despite her ongoing battle with cancer.
Princess Catherine delighted fans as she arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club with her nine-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte.
She has a mini but mighty support system around her. How cute!
When she arrived in a gorgeous purple dress, she looked in high spirits and in good health. It’s very similar to the green number she wore last year.
Meanwhile, Charlotte wore a pretty blue polka dot dress and had a cute braid in her hair. Very sweet!
Princess Catherine, patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, will present the trophy to the winner of the men’s final match between Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz.
The rumors behind Kate Middleton’s Wimbledon return
However, Kate’s return to Wimbledon may not surprise anyone. Rumors have swirled for weeks that she would be trying to hang on for at least her final days.
While her parents and Princess Beatrice intervened in her early game, royal experts believe she will leave her decision until the last minute.
in new works GraziaAndrews wrote that Kate was going through “good days and bad days.”
As a result, Andrews claimed that Kate’s participation in the competition will depend on how she feels once the competition begins.
“Her treatment is ongoing and will continue for several months. But I know she would like to visit Wimbledon – of which she is a patron – if she wishes,” Andrews wrote (via new york post).
Can Kate resume her previous duties?
In the past, Kate has presented trophies to the winners of tournaments.
Deborah Jevons, chairwoman of the All England Club, revealed this week that no decision had been made on Kate’s replacement.
“Our first priority is obviously to allow our patron time to recover. We certainly are not going to put any additional pressure on her recovery by speculating about her participation in this year’s tournament,” Jevons told the outlet, according to reports postal.
“When it comes to the awards ceremony, as in previous years, we will announce what will be at the ceremony on the morning of the finals, so nothing has changed in that regard,” she added.
Kate’s supporters were delighted to see her striding onto the pitch to present the trophy to the tearful winner.
But Kate’s full recovery remains a priority for her family, friends and fans.
What’s important is that Kate takes care of herself.
We all hope she will be able to play at many Wimbledon tournaments to come.
