Miranda Lambert hints at split from husband Brendan McLaughlin.
This isn’t surprising considering her husband’s recent illicit activities.
She has yet to release a divorce announcement. In fact, the country singer hasn’t spoken directly to the public about her husband’s scandal.
However, on social media, she seemed to tell fans to get rid of the things that were holding them back. Maybe like her own husband?
Is Miranda Lambert hinting at split from husband Brendan McLaughlin?
It’s been less than a month since Brendan’s inappropriate prank at a Nashville bar drew attention and sparked outrage.
Wife Miranda Lambert didn’t criticize him harshly on social media. Not immediately afterwards, nor in the weeks that follow.
But her recent TikTok posts seem to be about getting rid of unwanted stuff and improving your life, and encouraging followers to do the same.
Miranda Lambert took to TikTok on Wednesday, June 11, to drop a divisive hint.
One of the photos shows her waving a camera and taking a selfie in front of an RV. “This is your sign…” the caption began.
As the slideshow continues, the caption advises followers to “Say goodbye to anything that no longer serves you.”
Another hint is Miranda’s choice of song for TikTok
Before TikTok exploded in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was Musical.ly, a more obscure app used almost exclusively by young children.
It always prioritizes specific music (and other audio) selections, even if the main content of the post is a life update, political message, or thirst trap.
In this case, Miranda Lambert chose one of her own songs, “Damn Randy.” Not only is the single a recent hit in the country music world, but it appears to have a clear thematic message.
Miranda explained on her Instagram that the basic meaning of “Dammit Randy” is best summed up with the middle finger. In American culture, raising the middle finger is an extremely rude gesture equivalent to “fk you.”
Apparently, Miranda’s song could be about any of her crappy exes. It could also just be a creative work. Not all songs are autobiographical.
But if she’s hinting that her husband is now her ex, then this is certainly a relevant musical choice. Especially when she combines it with the message of getting rid of the things that make her unhappy.
What did Miranda Lambert’s husband do?
On June 24, a video circulated on social media showing Brendan dancing with women at Casa Rosa – Miranda’s bar.
His dancing looks extremely coquettish. He danced with more than one woman and appeared to have had a very heated conversation with at least one of them.
Although one of the women continued to defend the exchange as “innocent,” Miranda’s fans were deeply skeptical. They observed that this did not seem to be the behavior of a (faithful) married man.
This isn’t the first time fans have been curious about Miranda and Brandon’s marriage.
However, between that video, Miranda’s TikTok, and the fact that none of them have spoken publicly about the issue…things don’t look good for their union.
Let’s be honest: If you’ve been living just a few weeks since your husband publicly danced with another woman, you know that moving on while playing a breakup anthem on TikTok can seem like a cue to break up. Miranda Lambert must realize this…maybe that’s why she posted that.
