4:13 PM PT – A Secret Service spokesperson just tweeted about the incident…reiterating that Trump is safe and they are not investigating the incident. Further information will be released as it becomes available.

4:00 PM (Pacific Time) –While some media outlets reported the shots came from inside the venue, others said the weapons were actually farther outside the event. It’s unclear exactly which case this is.
3:58 PM PT –The White House issued a statement saying the former president was safe.
3:50 p.m. Pacific time — Zhang Zhiwei Trump’s communications director told TMZ… “President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous incident. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will be released at a later date.
Donald Trump was shot and injured at a rally in Pennsylvania.
The former US president was holding a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when explosions rang out from the crowd, causing chaos and screaming filling the air.
Watch the video… As three gunshots are fired, Trump visibly reacts, then puts his hands to his ears and falls to the ground. Secret Service agents rushed forward, tackled him to the ground, and used their bodies to protect the Republican candidate.
Gunfire ensues…it appears law enforcement returned fire, but it’s unclear exactly where the bullets came from.
Trump lay on the ground for about a minute before security pulled him up and tried to push him away from the podium. But Trump fought back, raising his fist in a show of defiance to the shocked crowd.
While the exact location of the shots is unclear, Trump appeared to have been struck by one of the projectiles… as blood was leaking from his head near his ears.
Another photo showed blood seeping from the side of his head into his mouth… though the former president seemed unfazed and continued to pump his fist at the audience.
The Secret Service kept up the pressure until DJT walked off the stage and pushed him back into the caravan. He has been transported to a local medical facility.
After Trump is flushed away, the Rifleman takes the stage… keeping an eye out for the gunman or shooters.
We don’t know the extent of his injuries.
