Julia Fox just came out as a lesbian.
After years of celibacy and a brief romance with Kanye West during which she was decidedly anything but sexy, news for the Uncut Gems star isn’t so strangeness.
Fans have already sent their congratulations to her. After all, everyone deserves to live their own life.
At the same time, she promised men around the world that she would never make the mistake of dating one of them again.
Julia Fox comes out as lesbian on TikTok
Julia Fox responded to a TikTok video on TikTok on Monday, July 8. (“Stitches” allows people to add to or comment on existing videos.)
The original video shows TikTok user @emgwaciedawgie saying: “I love seeing lesbians with their boyfriends. It’s like ‘Wow, you hate that man. You really hate him.’
The comment refers to closeted lesbians or lesbians who may be in denial about their sexual orientation. In our deeply homophobic society, it’s normal for people to try to act submissively before they are free to be themselves.
In Julia Fox’s response, she faced the camera and said, “Hey, that’s me. I’m that lesbian. I’m sorry, kids. It won’t happen again.”
Clearly, she owes no one an apology. Social pressure to pretend to be heterosexual leads many people to date when they are unattractive—and she may truly be unaware that she is unattractive to men.
Interestingly, it’s implied that she hates Kanye West. That’s no excuse to date him, but yes interesting.
This isn’t the first time Julia Fox has discussed being gay
Although Julia Fox is infamous for dating Kanye West (for less than two months in 2022) and actually Married From 2018 to 2020, she spoke to Peter Artemiev about wanting to date women.
In an interview with Ziwe in 2022, she stated: “I have some homosexual tendencies [in my body] I need to explore this further.
At the time, Foxx added: “Like, when my ex-boyfriends called me a ‘lesbian’ and complained that I never wanted to have sex with them, maybe they weren’t wrong.”
As we previously reported, Julia Fox announced in 2023 that she never had a relationship with Kanye West during their brief and ill-advised entanglement.
“It’s not true,” she described at the time.
In fact, many suspect Kanye is using Julia Fox to get back at Kim, while she is using Ye to gain attention.
Julia Fox has been single in recent years
“Twenty-five years of being single, honestly, it’s never been better,” she announced in another TikTok video in May.
Not everyone craves sex. Sometimes it’s because the effort isn’t worth it, because of a lack of sexual attraction (gender-neutral groups exist!), or because of personal or religious limitations. It might even be about security.
Of course, it could also be that you think you don’t like sex because you haven’t figured it out yet. While it’s entirely possible for Julia Fox to come out as gay without having sex to “prove it,” her coming out may also signal a break from her celibate tendencies. If so, we have a sneaking suspicion she’ll share the news.
