Joe Biden says he doesn’t have to take a formal cognitive test to prove his ability to lead the country… claiming his engagement with everyday world issues should be enough to show he’s capable of the job a second time.
In a full special on ABC Friday, Biden went to great lengths to defend himself from a poor performance in the June 27 debate… explaining to George Stephanopoulos that he I just had a bad cold and was seriously ill, so I was tested for the coronavirus.

While Joe said he ultimately did not contract COVID-19, he insisted fatigue played a part in his performance. He also admitted that he didn’t listen to his instincts when it came to preparation – so it looked like a combination of factors contributed to his bad night.

But as for long-standing concerns about his mental state, Joe insists a good team of doctors will accompany him wherever he goes and constantly assess him. He said the consensus was that he remained in good health … so he did not see the need for a full medical evaluation.

George isn’t buying the bill…retorting that he’s behind in the presidential race. But Joe told him it was the same thing in 2020 and he still won…and planned to do the same thing this year.

Additionally, Biden took some criticism of his opponent Trump’s performance in the debate…calling him a liar and pointing out the many false statements he made – while continuing to insist that no one is more qualified to be president than him.
