NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess) – Former “American Idol” contestant and rising country star Alex Miller made his stage debut at the prestigious Grand Ole Opry on June 27.
During the brief performance, Miller performed his hit song “Puttin’ Up Hay” as well as his latest single “My Daddy’s Dad” on his 1944 Martin D-18 guitar.
Miller also took the opportunity to join Grand Ole Opry host Bill Cody on stage for some in-song banter with the audience.
“I think everyone who plays country music dreams of playing the Opry,” Miller said. “For me, it’s something that my whole family hopes to achieve one day. I hope my grandpa lives long enough to see me step into that circle, because I feel like I’m floating on air. That kind of thing It felt so good – I know I’ll never forget it.
At just 21 years old, Miller has already made a name for himself in the country music industry, regularly touring state and county fairs (Kentucky, Missouri, New York, Washington, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Oklahoma, West Virginia), and for Brooks & Dunn, Hank, Jr, Josh Turner, Lee Brice, Jamey Johnson, Chris Janson, Chapel Hart, Drake Milligan, Noah Thompson, Dillon Carmichael, HunterGirl, Emily Ann Roberts and Tracy Byrd Waiting for the artist to open.
He is a contestant on American Idol Season 19 in 2021.
