Based on a round of reports earlier this week, one might think Miranda Lambert would have good reason to sing a sad tune now.
As you saw on TikTok last Monday, husband Brendan McLoughlin was hanging out at a bar in Nashville with an arm around a mystery blonde.
Later in the same footage, the same woman can be seen rubbing up against the retired police officer before the two embrace.
“Miranda Lambert, come find your man,” the text in the video reads.
oopscorrect?
It turns out, maybe not.
Shortly after the video went viral, social media chatter about Miranda Lambert’s possible divorce began to rampage, and the women who were spotted with McLaughlin actually gave interviews to In Touch Weekly.
She detailed the “innocent” nature of her interactions with Lambert’s husband.
“We noticed him earlier in the night in the roped off area in front of the bar. We recognized him and we both thought it was cool that he was there and mentioned hoping Miranda would show up,” the person said in response to the speculation. explained to this tabloid.
“We went back and enjoyed our night, drank with each other, danced and had a lot of fun.”
McLaughlin apparently agreed at one point to take a photo with one of the woman’s friends, who was outside celebrating her engagement.
“We danced, talked and laughed and thanked him for making our bride-to-be’s night so special and fun. He was gracious, polite and friendly,” she continued in “In Touch,” highlighting McGraw Forest:
“He’s not flippant.
“It was extremely loud in the bar, even shouting in each other’s ears and couldn’t hear anything. He was gone for about an hour, maybe an hour and a half, before we left. Really, none of us felt it Any flirting happens just dancing, laughing and talking.
“He was friendly and casual, but never inappropriate or suggestive in any way.”
McLaughlin and Lambert were married in early 2019.
Just months later, divorce rumors began to circulate, with a rep for the singer saying at the time that the nonsense was “completely fabricated,” that “there’s not a shred of it true,” and that the couple was “happily ever after!”
It sounds like that’s still the case.
Long live!
