LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Music industry veteran Jason Markey has announced the launch of Bold Management, a new management company focused on songwriter representation and marketing.
According to Markey, Bold will provide a range of services, including agency, publishing, soundtrack distribution, strategic marketing, promotions and live touring.
“Bold Management is committed to highlighting and celebrating the tremendous talent of our songwriters,” Markey said. “Our mission is to ensure that composers are not only recognized, but given the platform and opportunities they deserve through innovative marketing and strategic branding,” Markey said of the new venture.
“Our clients include David Murillo R. (“Leguizamo Does America”), Chris Forsgren (“Fast and Furious” series) and Philip White (“Smurfs: The Lost Village,” “Lost in Space”), and we are excited to lead this new era , allowing composers to achieve the acclaim and audiences they deserve Fortune does favor the brave,” he added.
Additionally, Markey announced the formation of Coda Recordings and Publishing, a related venture that will oversee music publishing and recording for Bold Management clients.
Markey is best known as the co-founder of Sonar Media, but previously served as music consultant for video game giant Riot Games, as well as president, film and television music and publishing executive at STX Entertainment. He has also held many senior A&R positions including Immortal Records, Arista Records and MCA Records.
