Tamayo PerryThe surfing legend best known for starring in the fourth “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie has died … authorities have confirmed.
The famous surfer died Sunday after being attacked by a shark on the Hawaiian island of Oahu… Local surfers discovered Tamayo’s body near Marakahana Beach. According to Stab magazine, when they recovered TP’s body, his arms and legs were missing.
Honolulu emergency services said a bystander actually witnessed the attack near Goat Island on Oahu’s famed North Shore.
Tamayo, who also works as an ocean safety lifeguard, was on leave when the incident reportedly occurred around 1 p.m.
Authorities confirmed Tamayo was pronounced dead at the scene, along with Honolulu’s mayor. Rick Brangiardi Later he praised the late surfer as “a legendary water sportsman”. Tamayo is famous for winning the Pipeline Masters surfing competition in 1999.

In addition to playing a pirate in “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” Tamayo also had small roles in the sports romance film “Blue Crush” and CBS’ reboot of “Hawaii Five-0.”
Tamayo is survived by his wife; Emilia. He is only 49 years old.
