Kendrick Lamar A new music video will be filmed this weekend… and we’re told the rapper is ramping up his security measures to keep himself, his team, and the community safe.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the Grammy winner will be in Compton filming his new music video — which follows K. Dot’s Juneteenth Show Victory Wednesday night at the Kia Forum in nearby Inglewood.
We’re told Kendrick’s team has all the proper permits needed to complete the project… The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will be sending deputies to increase security during the music video shoot.
For security reasons, our sources won’t say how many representatives have been appointed to the show – which will be held across Compton. However, we’re told Kendrick’s production company pays around $120 an hour to acquire these personnel.
While law enforcement sources tell us police are aware of Kendrick’s situation recent beef with the avengers Drakewe are told that there are currently no known threats.
Although the feud, at least publicly, ended back in early May — when Kendrick gave up “Not like us” – We’re told authorities are still taking the matter seriously and are keeping an eye on social media for any drama.

Remember, Kendrick and Drake fired off a series of diss songs against each other until Kendrick was declared the clear winner with “Not Like Us,” not only verbally knocking Drake out… but also Topping the Billboard Charts.
Since then, three police-related incidents have occurred at the “Degrassi” alum’s Toronto mansion – including filming One of his security guards. Kendrick was not involved in the shooting and no suspects have been arrested.

Sources tell us the LASD and other participants hope for a peaceful production that showcases the beauty of Compton rather than the negative images of gangs and crime that made it famous decades ago.
