justin timberlake He wasn’t as concerned about his DUI case as some fans were because he didn’t follow the typical celebrity script after his arrest … TMZ has learned.
Sources with direct knowledge of the situation tell TMZ … Justin has no plans to head to a rehab facility following his arrest Tuesday morning in Sag Harbor, New York. It’s not uncommon for Hollywood stars to take aggressive measures to stay in good standing with a judge after a drug or alcohol-related arrest.
Voluntarily seeking treatment in rehab or alcohol education classes would have put them in a better position to negotiate a plea deal, but Justin had different plans, and, maybe… for good reason.
As we reported, Justin doesn’t have any previous arrests on his record, and as for alcoholism, our sources say he has no history of drinking irresponsibly, although recent reports suggest the opposite is true. People who have been with the singer for many years told us they never knew he had a problem and that he usually controlled himself in public.
This is very different from a situation like this, Lindsay LohanIn 2007, the former child star checked into Promises Treatment Center in Malibu after being arrested for drunken driving in Bev Hills. A judge eventually forced her to wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet, but she avoided jail.
Another factor in Justin’s game plan is that he’s on a world tour, with the next stop being Friday at the United Center in Chicago…and, as we told you, he’s on On stage, as planned. The tour will continue until the end of the year – heading to Europe and then back to the U.S. – with only a few short breaks.
All of this leads to Justin moving forward professionally, and we’re told he’ll be taking the drunk driving case to his attorney Edward Burke Jr. …who has already said Planning to resist arrest.
That’s what all good defense attorneys say, but the reality is that Justin and prosecutors will almost certainly reach a plea deal… and Burke has made it clear they’re eager to see police body camera footage of the arrest.

When police pulled over Justin — who allegedly blew a stop sign and swerved — the singer claimed he had only had a martini while having dinner with friends.
The arresting officers claimed they smelled alcohol on his breath, and they said he did poorly on a field sobriety test. However, since JT refused to take a breathalyzer, the body cameras will be a factor in determining what plea deal he gets. key.

By the way, his next court date is scheduled for July 26th, which happens to coincide with a concert he’s scheduled to give in Krakow, Poland – so if the hearing is rescheduled, or the case is fully resolved by then , please don’t be shocked.
That’s what happens with first-time offenders, even if they don’t get a rehab card.
