Katy Perry Facing backlash for working with music producer again Dr. Luke …after being embroiled in a legal battle with him for nearly seven years Kesha ——who seemed to interject.
According to Rolling Stone , Katie is working with a number of music producers on her untitled sixth studio album. Katie reportedly hired the same producers who helped her work on her albums Teenage Dream and Prism… including Max MartinDr. Luke , Stargate , and more.
Because Katie will be returning to Dr. Luke for her new tune – Kesha’s fans are angry and dragging her into making this decision… calling it a betrayal. Kesha seems to agree.
Like we said… Kesha herself seemed to acknowledge the news – on X, just writing “haha” without any context… This was after speculation that KP recruited Luke.
Remember, Kesha accused Dr. Luke of sexual assault in a 2014 lawsuit, but Dr. Luke denied the accusations and fired back with his own lawsuit, suing Kesha for defamation.
In August 2016, Kesha chose to drop the lawsuit… but Luke’s defamation lawsuit did not settle down Until June 2023. She noted in a statement at the time… “Only God knows what happened that night… I look forward to closing this chapter of my life and beginning a new one.”

It’s unclear if Luke helped produce Katy’s upcoming single “Woman’s World” … or if he had access to other tracks on the album. Anyway… it’s certainly a choice, for better or worse.
