(CelebrityAccess) — Reggaeton icon Don Omar took to social media on Monday to share the news that he has been diagnosed with cancer.
In an Instagram post, Omar shared a picture of a hospital wristband from Orlando Health with the caption: “Today yes, but tomorrow I won’t have cancer. Good intentions beget good responses. Goodbye.”
Omar did not reveal further details about his diagnosis, and a representative for the 46-year-old reggae star did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Considered one of the pioneers of modern reggae music, Omar came to international prominence in 2023 with the release of his debut studio album, The Last Don. ” (2006), “iDon” (2009) ) and “Meet the Orphans” (2010).
Omar has also branched out into acting, with roles in high-profile films such as Fast & Furious (2009) and Fast & Furious 5 (2011), in which he played Rico Santos.
