First, the good news about Gary Wayt:
He was found, alive and possibly in good condition.
Earlier this month, Amber Portwood reported that her fiancé went missing after some sort of altercation in North Carolina.
However, local authorities later confirmed that Gary was safe and sound.
Now, the bad news about Gary Waite:
He has an unknown past.
According to documents obtained by In Touch Weekly, Wayt has had multiple run-ins with the law.
For example, the 39-year-old man pleaded guilty and was convicted of illegal drinking in Indiana in 2005.
A year later, Waite was charged with marijuana possession.
The MTV starlet asked in 2014 for charges in both incidents to be dismissed … but the court refused and directed Wayt to file a separation Petition along with payment.
In addition to these criminal charges, Waite was involved in multiple driving accidents.
Also in 2006, Gary was arrested for driving on a suspended license, eventually pled guilty and was fined $1,000.
Two years later, Waite was caught speeding twice.
From 2010 to 2017, Wayt faced additional Charges range from expired license plates and speeding to ignoring stop signs.
Of course, Portwood has had her share of run-ins with the law, most notably being arrested in 2019 for allegedly attacking her ex-boyfriend with a machete.
She was previously engaged to Matt Baier, although the two never walked down the aisle.
However, in fact have Married once before.
On July 21, 2013, he exchanged vows with a woman named Caitlin Haynie… Caitlin Haynie filed for divorce from her husband in 2016.
They have no children and the marriage was officially dissolved on June 7, 2016, with the exes dividing the property and her retaining the lease on their matrimonial home.
The two did not share any vehicles or debts during their marriage.
Portwood went public with her latest relationship last fall before introducing fans to Gary T. on the June 6 episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.
They got engaged a few weeks ago.
“She’s really, really happy,” an Us Weekly source told the tabloid after revealing the exciting news, adding:
“They have been in couples therapy and talk about everything. They are very proactive in their relationship and work on preventing problems before they start.
This was before the aforementioned fight and subsequent disappearance, but hopefully all hope is not lost for Amber Portwood and Gary
“The new man in her life has never actually met Teen Mom, so she feels like she can finally date the way she’s always wanted,” Us Weekly added this month.
