“Don’t think it’s over”
Crowded House was founded in Melbourne, Australia in 1985. They have released eight albums, including their most recent, gravity stairs, Released last month. But on their first album, their “Don’t Dream It’s Over” was a hit.
Crowded House collaborated on “Don’t Dream It’s Over” with Grammy-nominated producer Mitchell Froom, with whom he has collaborated on numerous occasions. In this episode, I talk with frontman Neil Finn about how the song was originally written and how it developed with his bandmates and collaborators in the studio. We talked about the deep connection people have had with this song over the years.
