Jennifer Muller/The Works is seeking (2) highly skilled contemporary dancers for the company’s 50th anniversary celebration in Spring 2025.
Cis men, cis women, trans men, trans women, non-binary, queer, agender, non-cis, gender fluid, and dancers of other gender identities are welcome to audition.
We are looking for dedicated, energetic dancers with a passion for dance theatre, who are also open-minded and willing to undergo intensive training in Müller’s polar techniques. We are recruiting company members, so long-term availability will be prioritized. Starting June 14, 2024, dancers will need to be present on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am to 2pm.
We also require dancers to attend alumni intensives throughout the summer/fall, culminating in a series of small performances, a winter gala, and ultimately a 50th anniversary celebration event in the spring of ’25. Reinforcement dates are as follows:
June 24-28 | July 28-August 2 | August 12-August 16 | September 9-21 | October 21-25 (subject to change)
Intensive training hours are Monday to Friday from 10pm to 4pm.
We expect all company members to regularly attend weekly unpaid technical courses. Subsequent rehearsals are $31/hour. Intensive courses will include paid rehearsal time: (Monday to Friday, unpaid sessions: 10-12, paid rehearsals and short lunch break: 12:00-4).
*If a dancer is interested in a permanent position but has a minor conflict with our schedule, please still inquire. We will prioritize those who are able to meet our dates, but will still consider those with pre-existing conflicts.

JMTW has wowed audiences around the world with its passionate productions and superb dancers in 39 countries on four continents and 30 U.S. states, with 28 productions in downtown locations, the Joyce Theatre, Cedar Lake and New York Live Arts.
